The Law of Attraction: Life is about two subjects – wanted and unwanted
‘If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.’ – Nikola Tesla
The Law of Attraction says that you receive the essence of what you are predominantly thinking about, which means that life is thus always about two subjects, wanted or unwanted.
Take a moment to ask yourself, ‘am I focused on the ‘presence’ of what I want, or the ‘absence’ of what I want?’
Your ‘want’ could be a positive yet intangible quality such as having more confidence in a particular area of your life, or it could be something more material such as having more money, or owning your own home, or manifesting that perfect holiday away.
It seems overly simplistic to those who are new to the law of attraction to ask ‘what do I want?’ but this first step of identifying one’s desire clearly is absolutely crucial!
You cannot hope to make any sort of progress without first identifying where you are and, immediately following that, identifying where you wish to be.
Most people bounce around in their negativity for too long, without giving purposeful attention to their desires. The common complaint then is, ‘why isn’t my life changing?’ or ‘how long must it go on for like this?’
The basis of our life is freedom, the purpose of our life is joy and the result of that is expansion and growth, yet if we keep choosing the same thoughts, and accompanying feelings, around any subject, then we inadvertently recreate the same patterns in our lives over and over again.
The bottom line? We seem ‘stuck’!
In this world of duality, we cannot avoid unwanted situations for long but this is a good thing, if we can simply learn to shift frequency quickly! Young children do it, but they do it largely unconsciously.
Even though we may not particularly like the ‘unwanted’ situation when it does appear, we must remember that contrasting, or unwanted, situations bring us inner expansion in the very moment they appear.
In the moment that a problem comes into focus, the solution is also birthed, but we can’t yet see it because we are usually focused on the problem, which has a totally different frequency to the solution. “Night” and “Day” are very different frequencies!
As well, if we are experiencing the quality of ‘night’, it will take some time to elapse before we experience ‘daylight’ again.
In the moment that you experience anything unwanted, you must ask, ‘what do I really want?’ and then find a way to relax into this new awareness. This also means not resisting ‘what is’.
Easier said than done sometimes… even for those practicing mastery!
Sometimes, it a relatively easy matter to identify what you really want. At other times there will be layers of understanding to work through before your innermost desire becomes apparent.
If you can get into the practice of identifying what you want, clearly and without resistance, then the Universe will start to bring you what you want, rather than what you don’t. However, you must be conscious of your feelings, not just your thoughts.
Whilst you hold resistance in your mind and body, your desires will be delayed or entirely frustrated.
Your mind is the camera lens, but it is your feelings that inform you as to whether you are ‘focused’ on presence of your desire, or the absence (‘out of focus’).
If you say, ‘I want more money, I want more money, I want more money…’, but your attention is focused strongly on the lack of money in your life, then you will continue to experience lack.
A feeling of lack may be triggered by high or unexpected bills to pay, having desires for certain material things but seeing no way of achieving them, and so on.
On the other hand, if you say, ‘I wish to feel my financial abundance…’ and then begin to consciously and deliberately notice all of the positive things in your life, despite your immediate challenges, then you will start to change your vibration around money, and reverse the tide. This takes practice.
Most people try to focus on the ‘wanted’ part but they quickly go back to their unwanted, dominant patterns of thought and thus hold themselves apart from their desires. Unconsciously they go back to the focusing on the absence of their desire.
If they do manage to identify their desire, they often fall into the trap of asking the question ‘when is my desire coming?’, not knowing the answer, and they ask ‘how will my desire come to me?’, also not knowing the answer.
When you ask ‘when?’ and ‘how?’, this trips up your positive vibration because it focuses your mind back on the absence of your desire.
‘When’ exactly, and ‘how’ are determined by vibrational timing, not man made clock time. Whilst it’s useful to set goals, it’s not useful to be rigidly attached to them for this very reason!
If you can trust the perfect relationship you have with the Source of your Being, knowing your desire has already been answered vibrationally in the perfect way, then all manner of good will line up for you.
