Venus in Aquarius: How will your love relationships be affected this month?
Venus is the planet of love. It describes how you relate to the people in your life, though its effects will usually be most noticeable in your most intimate relationships – lovers, and also the ones with your family and close friends.
On March 1st, Venus moves into Aquarius and will stay there until the 26th March. If you have Venus in Aquarius in your natal chart, you will most likely feel its effects strongly during this time.
You will also likely be affected if you were born during the month of Aquarius (the sun is usually in Aquarius between January 21 and about February 20).
If you don’t know (or have a copy of) our birth chart, get a free copy of your chart here. (You will need to know your time of birth to the minute (if possible), else at least the hour you were born).
Aquarius is the sign of friendship, brotherhood or sisterhood, and is often related to the “collective” – whether that be a particular group, family or social, an organisation you belong to, or even humanity as a whole.
March is a great time to find connection with your tribe – a group of people that you are connected to through a common ideal or cause!
If you feel the longing to be part of something bigger, then you might find this is the month that you feel compelled to take action to bring that into your life.
Or you might find a stronger connection to your existing “tribe” or “tribes”, developing harmonious, bonding experiences with them.
Conversely, you might find you need more space and freedom in your personal and romantic relationships, particularly if you are feeling claustrophobic, or stuck.
The friendship quality of your intimate relationships will be more prominent than the “dreamy romantic side”.
Friendship is, of course, a key part of any relationship so make the most of this kind of connection!
The deeper emotional connection should return at the end of March when Venus moves into Pisces.
If you have Venus in Aquarius natally then this colours your relationships generally throughout your whole life.
It’s the lens through which you see the world: how you relate to others, what you need for a fulfilling relationship and how you give and receive love.
The Aquarius free spirit is likely to be a key theme in the kind of relationship that suits your nature. Even if, for example, your Sun is in dreamy, sensitive Pisces, when it comes to relationships you will need plenty of space and freedom, otherwise you may feel confined and smothered!
It’s possible that you may hold the concept of ‘relationship’ lightly and prefer not to be in the formal structure of a marriage even if you spend your whole life with your partner.
Aquarius follows Capricorn, the sign of structure, tradition, formality and duty, in the zodiac. In doing so, its nature rebels somewhat against these values. You’re happy to give your partner much space to do their own thing, and likewise desire that in return!
With Venus in Aquarius you may feel the need to break the rules, break the traditional way of doing relationships and so it’s likely there is something different or unconventional about your relationships.
For example, you and your partner might decide to keep your own homes rather than having one together. Or it could be that one of you works away a lot. In both of these cases you’re able to have the freedom you need!
If a relationship limits or restricts you in some way you’ll likely leave it – but if you stay, you might lose touch with your own uniqueness.
With this placement you will likely to looking for a friend as much as a lover, and it may also be that your current partner was also a good friend.
