Why Feeling Nostalgic Is A Sign That You’ve Lost Your Connection To Source Energy

How often do you look back at your past with nostalgia?  The great truth of life is simply this: the more satisfied you are with your ‘here and now’, the less you will feel the need to look back.

If you find yourself often feeling nostalgic, constantly looking back at the past, longing for those times, wishing it was like it was then, then it’s safe to say you will have lost or diminished your connection to your Source of Love and Awareness.

Have you noticed that many older people will often talk about the past and rarely talk about their present or the future? Older folk who are happy with their present-day lives – meaning, they are powerfully focused in the ‘now’ – will not talk that much about past memories and if they do turn their attention backwards, it will be momentary and their energy will be totally different.’

Of course, anyone can find themselves looking back… you don’t have to be “old” to look back!

A lover may look back at fun times with a previous partner.  A young mother may look back on her child’s past when the child goes off into the world, and she is at home alone, referred to as ’empty nest syndrome.’

If you are looking back, take the time to check in to ‘why’ you are looking back?  What’s the primary energy?  Is it because things seemed ‘better’, or because you felt more ‘alive’ somehow?

The reason you felt more “alive” back then was only because you were flowing energy from your Source of Love and Awareness through you, into your life experience.

Very young children don’t look back.  There is no ‘past’ to attach themselves to and they usually stay connected to their eternal knowing for the most part unless there is some great trauma or abuse that sabotages it.

Whatever your age, make it your mission to tend to your connection to Source Energy as a priority.  This can easily be done through the practice of daily meditation. Then all manner of good will flow to you and the past will simply be a jumping-off place for an even better ‘now’ experience!

If you do choose to look back at the past, it will be with fondness, not with longing!
