A note on: Asking and Receiving
Whenever a problem comes into focus, an answer is born at the same moment. This is how the Universe is set up. There is no ‘yin’ without ‘yang’ so to speak.
Problems (contraction) lead us to an expansion of consciousness (or inner awareness) but the reason so many people get stuck with their problems is that they keep focusing back on them.
The key is to shift your awareness, so that you train your thoughts and emotions to continually vibrate at the frequency of the answer, not the problem.
In any situation, the question to ask yourself is, ‘what do I really want regarding [this]?’
Sometimes we already know the answer. This may seem obvious but, for example, if you haven’t been paying attention to a blocked pipe in your house and it bursts, you immediately know you need a plumber, and you either call one you know or you Google it to get a number and call one up, for example.
A more tricky situation might be being made redundant. On the surface, this might look like a terrible event, especially if you have a mortgage to pay and/or family to support, but perhaps you’ve stagnated in your current role or no longer mesh with your current company, and need a change! The Universe is giving you a helping hand!
When you ask yourself what you really want, different options could spring to mind that would move you from a feeling of powerlessness to a new sense of freedom and an eagerness to explore a different path ahead. For example, you might decide that you want to use your redundancy payout to travel the world for 3 months before deciding what next to do. or Maybe you want to take your severance pay and take that photography course you’ve always wanted to do, or perhaps you’ve always wanted to work for yourself – and you realise this situation provides you with the start-up money to do it!
When you see the bigger picture, then life becomes a joyful process, rather than a battle that you have to endure!
