General Questions:

Reiki healings or SRT clearings can be carried out in person or remotely. Having the treatment done remotely means you don’t have to be physically present at the time of your clearing. When working directly with Spirit, there is no such thing as time or space. The remote method of clearing is nothing new and is used in many other forms of healing. Quantum physicists have demonstrated that it is possible for an object (light particle) to exist in two places simulaneously – space and time are both illusions.

Each person and situation is unique, so treatment plans are decided on a case by case basis. Some clients have come along for just one or two sessions and not felt the need to return. Others have felt the need for more extensive treatment coming along over a period of several months until they have effectively dealt with any physical, emotional, and/or mental difficulties they have been experiencing. Yet others find value in having a “tune-up” once every so often and use energy healing to keep themselves and their lives in balance.

Unless the practitioner is trained in counseling, they cannot offer this service. However, a spiritual leader will have unique insights on life and the troubles you are experiencing and will be able to share these with you.

Reiki is Japanese for “universal life energy”, a term used to describe many systems of natural healing.

There are many variations of Reiki, but in essence it is a healing process that works at bringing us into balance and reinforces the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. It is a system that is open to any belief system.

The method of receiving a Reiki treatment from a practitioner is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively, on or near the body. Either immediately or soon after, Reiki will begin to flow through the practitioner’s hands into and around the client’s physical body and energy body. There is no massage or manipulation.

Usually people experience Reiki as a soothing heat coming through the practitioner’s hands, along with a tingling sensation as energy travels along the meridian pathways. Often a deep sense of peace and relaxation prevails during and after a treatment.

Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not offer any diagnosis or prognosis. If people are concerned about their symptoms they should also consult their GP.

Most people feel relaxed and at peace afterward a session. However, a treatment could bring emotions to the surface or lead to a temporary healing reaction, such as headaches or flu-like symptoms as balance is restored.

Yes, but if the person is under 18, they need the consent of a guardian or parent.

Reiki is taught by Reiki Masters, who have trained in the tradition passed on in person from Master to student. Students go through a process of initiation, called an attunement, to the Reiki energy. They are then able to treat themselves and others, not only from a healing perspective, but also as an aid to personal development and spiritual growth.

Yes but professional bodies will not recognise this sort of training at the present time, especially as there is a duty of care to the general public. In the UK, we are moving more and more towards a self-regulatory system, with more stringent rules for training. If you want to learn Reiki for your own spiritual development, distant learning would be appropriate. If you wish to practice Reiki on others, whether as a lay person or professional, it is highly recommended that you learn with a Reiki master teacher. As well, the spiritual path often brings up challenges because it triggers powerful energy shifts, so it is wise to have a teacher to turn to for advice, at least at the beginning of your journey.

Karuna Reiki® does not replace Usui Reiki, but serves as an additional level of training. It is only taught to Reiki masters because it requires the body to be accustomed to hold a greater amount of chi/ki. This happens naturally as one steps through the various levels of Usui-based Reiki training, purifying the physical and energy bodies.

It is good to question everything. I too had doubts as to the effectiveness of such training but was guided to take both Karuna Reiki ® and then Lightarian Reiki ™, deeply valuing both experiences. Through my own experience I feel they offer the practitioner greater healing potential and self-awareness. It is our Soul that guides us through our journey, ensuring personal transformation. More and more, Reiki practitioners and masters are being guided to go beyond Usui Reiki to take advantage of these deeper healing energies.

Yes. Whilst it does not form a part of “traditional” Reiki, whether Japanese or Western, it combines the energy of Reiki with the shamanic practice of drumming. It is a powerful experience, one that uses the power of sound and rhythm to great effect. It was originally developed by Michael Arthur Baird, a practising Reiki master and Shamanic practitioner in the USA, and is gaining momentum around the world. Reiki Drumming facilitates deep relaxation and stress relief. As stress is relieved, tensions in the physical body are often released as well. Biofeedback research indicates that even brief heartbeat drumming can double light meditative brainwaves (alpha) and reduce stress.

Spiritual Response Therapy:

Spiritual Response Therapy, often known by its abbreviated acronym SRT, uses a system of charts and a series of specific questions to research past life energies, subconscious blocks, and negative soul programming.

An SRT Practitioner uses a pendulum and works with their High Self to access the Akashic Records and clear any discordant energies or programmes from the soul record, past or future.

SRT can be carried out in person or remotely. If the client is present, they are usually seated opposite the practitioner. The client is able to ask questions and bring up information relevant to the research being done. The client may wish to look at certain aspects of their life that are bothering them, as well as physical pains or problems, and the practitioner will use the charts to address the root cause of the problem. If the work is done remotely, the client can ask their questions over the telephone.

The subconscious mind has no judgement. It records and replays negative thoughts, experiences and emotions as well as our positive ones. If there is a conflict or disagreement between the conscious desires held in the mind and the subconscious programming, the subconscious often wins. SRT empowers you to break cycles of disharmony and empowers you to fulfil your true purpose by assuring that no adverse beliefs are in the subconscious mind that can block or cancel out the good you are trying to experience. This is the purpose of Spiritual Response Therapy.

Yes, this can be done. However, for clients having a first-time clearing through SRT, it is much more effective and responsible for a SRT Practitioner to perform a full clearing to ensure a complete healing can take place.

When the programmes are cleared, the negative energy associated with the experience is dissolved, and only wisdom and knowledge gained from the experience remains. Unless you build more of the same negative energy patterns by heavy, negative emotions or repeated bad habits, the programmes cannot rebuild.

SRT can be used whenever the need arises. We are constantly drawing new challenges to ourselves in order to learn and grow because our lives are the testing ground for SPIRIT. However, it is not the purpose of SRT (or any other healing modality) to make the client dependent on the services of the practitioner. SRT is used to empower you to go out and live your life to the best of your abilities, freeing you from old, destructive energy patterns which aren’t serving your highest good.

They may help to increase your self-awareness and create a harmonious sense of comfort around and within yourself.

At the end of the consultation, the Aura-Soma® practitioner will suggest which Equilibrium bottle to work with, as well as giving advice on the other products, such as the Pomanders and Quintessences, which can support the energetic changes that take place when using the Equilibrium bottle.

You may buy a Pomander or Quintessence to work with under the advice of a practitioner. However, it is not usually recommended to take an Equilibrium bottle without having a consultation.
