Reiki First Degree - Shoden
In addition to the heart space being opened, an activation of one or more particular chakras and subtle bodies takes place at each Reiki level. In simple terms, an activation could be considered the switching on of an etheric circuit, enabling the individual to receive and be a conduit for a particular vibrational (density) band. In Usui-based Reiki the vibrational base is 5.0 and the highest level is 5.8. Please read about Lightarian Reiki ™ for a better understanding of the bands. In Reiki First Degree the fifth (throat) chakra and related subtle body is activated.
No previous knowledge or training is required to attend the Reiki First Degree course. Once Reiki is activated by the attunement process everyone is able to use this nurturing, energy, regardless of age, experience, background or belief system.
After being attuned to the energy, all you need to do is place your hands on yourself with your loving intention and it can:
- centre you when you feel scattered
- energise you when you feel drained
- calm you when you feel afraid
- focus your mind and help you find solutions
- relieve pain
- accelerate healing of wounds/injuries/infections
- improve health and gradually clear up old illnesses
- prevent development of disease
- release emotional wounds, limiting attitudes, fears and damaging behaviour patterns

- bring wisdom in moments of confusion
- open you to forgiveness in moments of anger
- show you new possibilities and support you in making changes
- shower you with love in all the moments of your life
Shoden is the beginning of the Reiki path of self healing and transformation and enables you to heal yourself and treat others.

Course information
Reiki First Degree is taught over one day, from 9.30am until 6pm, and includes practical guidance in self-treatments and treating others. Students will be able to channel Reiki throughout the day, immediately after receiving their attunement.

Anyone can receive and learn to give a loving Reiki treatment and Reiki is entirely compatible with any other conventional or complementary treatments. In one weekend you can obtain the skills necessary to start using Reiki on yourself, your family, your friends and pets!

The course fee is £130 (a non-refundable deposit of £65 is required in advance to secure booking) which includes a comprehensive manual, certificate and light refreshments.
